An elegant style of Vacqueyras, with black cherry, lavender and a touch of peppery spice in the background. Light in body but enough juicy black fruit on the palate to provide some impact, and well-balanced acidity contributing to the sense of freshness and precision. Not a big, powerful Vacqueyras, quite the opposite - compact, juicy, drinkable and easy to enjoy.

An outstanding Southern Rhône, the 2020 Vacqueyras Les Volutes (70% Grenache with the balance Cinsault and Syrah) offers a pretty perfume of wild strawberries and black raspberries as well as floral, complex nuances of peppery herbs and leather. Medium-bodied on the palate, it has a terrific sense of purity and elegance as well as outstanding length.
