Unsere Degustationsnotiz
Der Brunello di Montalcino präsentiert sich mit einer tiefen, rubinroten Farbe im Glas. In der Nase entfaltet er ein bezauberndes Bouquet von reifen Pflaumen und roten Früchten, das von einer subtilen Würzigkeit begleitet wird. Am Gaumen zeigt er sich vollmundig und elegant, mit gut integrierten Tanninen und einer bemerkenswerten Struktur. Die fruchtigen Noten setzen sich fort und verschmelzen harmonisch mit einer leichten, aber spürbaren mineralischen Note, die diesem Wein eine zusätzliche Dimension verleiht. Der Abgang ist langanhaltend und hinterlässt einen bleibenden Eindruck.

A special 3,200-bottle release culled from a selection of Sangiovese from their Pian Bossolino and Poggio al Sole plots, the La Fiorita 2015 Brunello di Montalcino Fiore di No is a very convincing wine that offers much more depth and complexity than the estate's classic Brunello. The wine opens to dark fruit, spice and camphor ash and then shows a very complete, wide-brush-stroke approach to the grape. You get the dark primary fruit, the depth and the length on the mouthfeel.

The cherry, black-olive and dried-strawberry aromas are so attractive. Hints of cinnamon and licorice. Full-bodied, round and rich with lots of fruit and velvety tannins. Extremely flavorful and rich. Drink after 2022.

Deep red. Captivating aromas of red cherry, strawberry, sweet pipe tobacco, and flint. Impressively built, multifaceted and layered, this boasts very pure and round flavors similar to the aromas. The finish is long and dense, and features polished tannins and a suave texture. Knockout Brunello, probably the best I have had from La Fiorita in a very long time, and likely ever. Noticeably less floral than the 2015 classico Brunello from this estate but more complex and much deeper. Made with grapes taken from the best part of the Pian Bossolino and Poggio al Sole vineyards. The NO on the label stands for Natalie Oliveros, the estate owner; a real knockout, this wine is only made in the best vintages.

Vinifikation
Die Trauben werden sorgfältig von Hand geerntet und stammen aus drei verschiedenen Weinbergen: Pian Bossolino (360m), Giardinello (360m) und Collesorbo (220m). Nach der Ernte erfolgt eine lange Lagerung von 36 Monaten in Holzfässern, gefolgt von zusätzlichen vier Monaten in Beton, bevor der Wein abgefüllt wird. Diese langsame Reifung ermöglicht es dem Wein, seine charakteristische Komplexität und Tiefe zu entwickeln.
