Here's a new addition to the popular Feudi Studi line with about 2,000 bottles made. The Feudi di San Gregorio 2018 Taurasi Feudi Studi Fievo is darkly concentrated and very rich, owing to warm growing conditions and easily ripened fruit. The wine peels back to black, primary fruit that is appropriately framed by oak spice, leather and robust textural support. Another few years of bottle age would serve this wine well.

This displays a ripe and evolved, almost jammy plum fruit character, with black pepper and dark chocolate notes. There is vibrancy on the palate, with velvety tannins. The dry finish shows crisp acidity and a savory, chocolatey aftertaste. Drink or hold.
